Our background checks include the following:

• Social security number verification (checks state of issue, addresses and names associate with the number, and if the number has been connected to fraud)
• In-person search at all county courthouses where applicant has lived for the past
  7 years.
• Search through databases with access to over 550 courthouses around the country, with over 300 million records, identifying jurisdictions in which a candidate potentially has a criminal record
• Search of 52 sex offender registries
• Search of global terrorist watchlists
• Search of OFAC's specially designated nationals
• Search of lists of individuals who have been identified with money laundering, fraud against government agencies, and fugitives from justice

We are able to provide results for all above checks, with the exception of the county-level checks, in 1 business day. The county-level checks take 3-5 business days. 

Please note that some states assess a surcharge for accessing certain records and these costs will be passed on to our customers. We will alert you ahead of time if this is the case.

If your nanny will be driving your children, it is recommended that you order a driving record report. Driving records go back 3-7 years, depending on the state.

MyNannyCheck will call references and interview them about their experience with your applicant. You are likely to have a list of questions you would like answered, and we have some you may not have thought of.
